Use autosave feature (or at least don't delete, or don't allow the window to collapse without saving) when creating rubrics and toggling between the rubric slide out. Currently, if you slide the rubrics window back in, it loses all work if you haven't clicked 'Save.'
Users lose work because it is not obvious that by sliding in and out the rubrics window, any created work will not be saved unless the 'Save' button is pushed.0
