Instead of either making a manual payment to cover the missed one, or adding the amount to the next scheduled payment (so they're charged double), the amount should distribute across future charges according to their payment plan.

This takes the work away from us or the payer to make sure the manual payment is made, and avoids the problem of payers not being able/willing to make a double payment.
