Allow Grandparent of Student role access to the Billing tab

We have several grandparents who pay tuition and miscellaneous fees for students, so we would like them to be able to view statements, but the Billing Management tasks are not available to the Grandparent of Student role.

We do not want to use "list as parent" or allow "parent access" for grandparents as we don't want to provide them with access to their grandchild's academic records (report cards, progress, etc). Unfortunately, this is the only option for us to ensure they can see their grandchild's billing activity.

    Please create an Authorized Payer/Party status for grandparents and other 3rd party payers that does not give them parental access to the student's school record. FACTS allows parents to send invitations for others to become Authorized Parties on the account. In cases of split payers, the authorized party should have access only to the portion of the plan belonging to the payer sending the invitation.

    I just reached out to Blackbaud this week about this exact issue - they said there was no solution and to suggest it on the ideas portal. And then I found THIS idea from 2024 and it's listed as "Planned".... Two years later and there's no movement on this?
