While the auto-pay functionality for tuition payment plans processes payments on the due date, incidental auto-pay processing does not work in the same way. Instead of processing a user's payment on the date a charge is due, we have to specify a day of the month that incidental auto-payments are processed. Aside from this not making any sense because it doesn't match the other auto-pay functionality, it results in parents receiving past due notices on charges that they've signed up to have paid automatically and then frantically contacting the Business Office. If a parent enrolls in auto-pay for incidental charges, the charges should automatically process on the due date - this is the basic functionality of an automatic payment.
