The advance payment feature automates the payment/credit application processes. However, it lacks flexibility. It only works when there's a future charge on the account. This requires us to process next year's tuition charges before next year starts. Without the future charges, the payment cannot be manually applied as advance payment.

This is absolutely needed for tuition fees paid before they are billed in the related fiscal year for accounting purposes.
