It would be more efficient and save time if academic changes and billing changes could be added to records regardless of the student’s status in Core. Requiring that the student be a current student in Core in order to make certain changes to their record in Billing Management or Academics requires institutions to temporarily change the status of anyone who is not a current student to a current student, make the billing management changes, and then return their status to what it had been previously after the changes have been made.
