Make some "Ideas" flagged as Important

The "Ideas" section prioritizes based on popularity, which makes sense. However, there are some issues that get brought up that are a bit less "surface-level" and are only recognizable after delving pretty deep into the product, but can still be a fairly large problem to deal with- enough that it can keep some features from being utilized.

It’s also easy to vote for a lot of things, but then that results in diluting your vote if developers are responding to the “top thirty” rather than “anything that gets more than 100” votes.

It would be great if there were a way to flag ideas that are "make it or break it" ideas- perhaps giving people a limited number of "votes" that they apply to their biggest priorities.

Yep, Ash, that's right! Sorry for the delay in response.

Thanks Jake! I just made a post about it. Just to confirm- the "ideas" section of the site is the best place to post enhancement requests and things that we would like to see in the future. Is the "Discussion" section the best place to post things like "Hey, is anyone else doing x,y,z, we are just starting and could use some tips?"

    Hi Ash -

I agree that it can be easy for things to get overlooked when there are lots of people participating in the community. It's definitely a double-edged sword.

I'd love to hear more about the idea of limiting votes for users, as it's something that we've considered but haven't pulled the trigger on since there are many things that people are interested in.

The part about this that is interesting to me is that if we empower users like you to "put your money where your mouth is", with your "money" being your limited number of votes (with the potential of maybe putting all your votes on one idea), it could potentially show us the things that are, as you said, "make it or break it" ideas.

I think this would be a good topic to get started in the community outside the ideas area too in order to get more eyes on it. (You could start a post in the community and provide a link to this idea, or just get a conversation started and see who else joins in.)

Definitely worth pursuing this topic and weigh the pros and cons. Thanks for this idea!
