Currently, there is no simple way to send a message to the parents and student from one easy location. In order to email parents and a student, we currently have to look up the student, and copy and paste their email addresses. We would like to see the directory have a feature that allows us to "message parents, message individual, message both" in the same way that a class roster can do. However, the class roster allows a "message all" feature that includes parents and students, BUT it doesn't allow an email feature just an internal message. It should be easy from anywhere in the system, whether through a directory, a contact card, a class or advisory roster, to message the parents and student, via internal or external email. Further, there should be consistency in what can be done from various places within the system.
