The "Send when activated" setting for reminder notifications on School Forms sends notifications every time the settings are saved and closed while the form is Active. This can be an issue if small adjustments need to be made to other settings and the notification is repeatedly sent each time it is saved. I would like to have the page notify the editor that the "Send when activated" setting is active and will send to all recipients after saving the form.
This really needs to be set as a bug, not an idea.
We just sent 1400+ unnecessary reminders out. Had a 7 Days Prior reminder, that went out last night, and added a couple recipients this morning, and 7 day reminder sent 2 more times. I have many notes on managing this form feature, was in on EAP from the start, and even I forgot this happens.
There is absolutely nothing in the interface, nor in the Help, that would imply this is the intended functionality. In fact, the existence of of "Send when activated" option implied the exact opposite: This option will send when activated, the others will not. Though just Saving certainly doesn't imply a Re-Activation either.
Support said is intended behavior, and is KB article https://kb.blackbaud.com/articles/Article/101949.
But we voters on this idea need to put pressure on to get this bug fixed. Those who voted on this are the only "group" of people focusing in one place on this. Schools all around the country will be experience this all summer, but won't notice or have critical mass effect to get it done.
This also applies to "Send # of Days Before Due Date", I would also like this functionality on the "Send # of Days Before Due Date"
