I would like the ability to edit School Forms for a spelling error after we have sent it. Currently, I can copy the form and inactivate the old one but then I have to remove the users from the new form that filled out the old form. This is not a easy task especially if there are 800 users on the form to remove 10 from 800. Not only that but then I have 2 forms to report on. Being able to edit at least Text for spelling errors would pose useful.
You added the ability to fix the text, but we need to be able edit more than this...including something as simple as making a question required, or show/hide for something and especially the number of signers required PLEASE!
THANK YOU!!!!! I am doing my happy dance.
Hello! You are now able to edit text in any form in EMS (application, contract..) and in School Forms. This editing is limited to text so that you can easily fix typos. If there's anything else you'd like to be able to edit within a locked form, please create a new idea so we can track those requests!
Thanks,
Kelsey Huijgen, Product Manager
We have found an increased need for this across all modules -- especially if we need to change something from required to not required or to adjust the number of signers required.
7 years. sigh Not really sure this is worth my time, but then neither is having to recreate a form because I accidentally made Address 2 a required field and didn't catch it before some parents completed the form.
I understand not being able to completely change the question that would impact how it maps on the results, but having the ability to toggle the required status and visibility would be a really wonderful addition and save much headache.
Other form providers/platforms allow this. Please allow this capability.
PLEASE! It should not be difficult to edit a form after sending-even something as simple as making a question that was required not required. Why is this taking so long! I see votes from 2017!!!
This has been a request for 4 years.....let's get it done!
I also would like to edit the pages of the form after it has gone live. Thank you.
I would like to see all School Forms be editable. If a mistake is made in the text or if you want to add an additional option later on, you should be able to do so. Furthermore, when a School Form is submitted, an email should be sent with a PDF version of the form as an attachment or a direct link to that completed form.
YES PLEASE!1!
Completely agree. We recently had the date of an activity change, so we needed to be able to change the date on the form in the 'Text' box. Because some parents had already started the form, we were unable to change it and I was told to make the form inactive and copy the information and resend it to parents. This is tedious for parents who have already filled the form out who now have to do it again. Having the ability to edit a form would be fantastic.
I agree: one can never test these enough, even if there was a solid test mode. Same for Inquiry and Application forms. Adding space for instructional text, on Files&Forms page, and hint text for fields, would also help mitigate this.
Part of BB's reluctance to allow post-release editing is the valid concern that the original version of the form may have been signed and submitted by a parent or student. Which would require snapshotting of form states, whereby each signed version of the form is retained. More complex.
But I suspect there is already some snapshotting occurring, perhaps inadvertently: We had a form which displayed student's Birthday from core. A parent noticed a birthday error, changed it, yet the form view (I think pre-signing) maintained the original erroneous birthdate.
Related to that - we are tinkering with a form that administrators want to see - in action - before we send it out to parents. The "preview form" option is not enough. For this student-centric form I have had to create and enroll fake students and then assign them as children to the administrators who are reviewing the form. Once they look at the live form - I can no longer edit the form with their suggestions. Instead - I have to inactivate that form - copy it to a new one - make the changes. Etc. Once we have our final product - I then unenroll the fake student and delete their record in Core - as this is the only way I can delete the multiple copies of the form that I created during the editing process. Would be so much easier to edit one form as we are working on it.
Yes!!! This has been a huge problem for us too.
