It would be great if the Directories could be made to function on more than just Roles.

We have a "Former Faculty & Staff" directory that our reception, development & communications dept. sometimes refer to. Several people that still work here, including our head of school (!), show up in this directory because at some point their employment went from Teacher to Non-Teaching Staff, or vice-versa. This put that person into the Past Teacher role as well. If the directories filter out more info, they'd be more usable. 

OR if there was simply a way to remove "Past Teacher" from someone who is currently a "non-teaching staff", that would work too.
