Ability to track what families don't want published in the directories.
We are looking for a specific report that would indicate to us which parents have altered their profile publish settings to exclude select contact information from the directory.
Sorry we have not updated this sooner. The Core User List was modified to add 2 columns related to privacy settings and a filter to identify the users whose privacy settings are changed from the defaults.
Janet - I created an advanced list based on the "Students with Parents (Flattened) template. I then impersonated a parent - ran the Family Directory that we created online - printed it and then compared family by family between the online directory and my extract to determine which fields needed to be removed from the hard copy print directory.
When you mention an export that respects the privacy settings - that would be fine - if it's a choice for us to use or not. I need to be able to produce reports for internal use that contain all the information about a family regardless of what privacy settings are in place.
However - my first choice would be having the option to include the privacy settings in the output of the advanced list. With Online Campus Community I was able to pull this information - and then would contact the families to get clarification about their privacy status. For example - don't print my home phone - but it's ok for the Room Coordinator to have it.
Yes, it would be helpful to be able to export both the complete directory (for school use) and one that respects privacy settings (for a printed directory).
Hi all,
How do you get the data to create your printed directory? Would it be helpful for an export to respect the privacy settings so that you don't have to cross-reference each family's privacy settings?
We also feel this is critical to determine what students have limited from their profile. This would be great for all role types.
Yes this is a great function for our school. It's important since not a lot of our parents want other parents to see their information on directories and/or class list.
This is extremely critical in trying to protect an individual's privacy while generating a nicely formatted hardcopy of the directory.
