The current GSuite integration option uses K-12 Core as a SSO provider. This requires users to sign into Core first and then click on a link to access their GSuite accounts.
Another option (and one I would prefer) would use the Google Identity Platform (https://developers.google.com/identity/) as an authentication option for users to sign in to into Core with their GSuite accounts. The main Blackbaud website already offers this option so I know that it's something developers know how to do.
This would significantly streamline our user deployment as we use Google Apps for just about everything here and one of the big issues our users have is that they lose track of their BBK12 passwords and are confused when Core gets out of sync with GSuite.
I'm sorry we left this as a stale idea. Check out Blackbaud ID SSO now available - you can configure your Blackbaud solutions to authenticate via Google.
