Allow schools to choose the format for phone numbers
When users fill out application and profile update forms, the phone numbers are entered in XXXXXXXXXX format. We would like to be able to force phone numbers to be entered in as (XXX) XXX-XXXX or XXX-XXX-XXXX format.

Schools cannot choose the format. Schools must use the (XXX) XXX-XXXX format. This seems odd since area codes are not parenetical information. You must enter them to make a call.
Also, it's odd that a parent inputting an inquiry online must follow this format but if I add a number to someone in Core, I can input any format I wish.

As of 2/23/2021, all new phone numbers will come into the system with the (XXX)XXX-XXXX. This implemented flag on this request is contradicting that change.

This becomes very annoying to have to go in and change after parent has entered as they want because we want to be consistent

We too would like to see phone numbers automatically populated with parentheses and/or dashes so they are formatted in a way that is easy to read, without having to manually type in the parentheses/dashes for every single phone number!
