In light of the recent password changes, it would be helpful if Blackbaud implemented a way for us to send an automated e-mail notification to new users when an account has been created. Through this e-mail they can click a link to create a password without an admin having to create a temporary password and contacting the user directly.
This makes account creation painless and if the notification e-mail can be customized, it would eliminate additional steps of contacting a user and telling them what they should do next to get started.
This idea will be resolved as all users switch to Blackbaud ID authentication. A temporary password is not longer a recommended way to communicate for the first time logging in to a new account.
