Can I build a list and remove the year in a student's DOB

I want to be able to filter advanced lists to show birth days and months, but not the birth year so I can build a list of birthdays of my students. This way I can organize by month to see who's birthday is coming next.

    This would also be nice because teachers frequently do exercises with their kids involving birthdays, but I'm always squeamish about sharing real, full birthdays with teachers because they're such a sensitive piece of info and frequently used in identity theft. While we can train our teachers on why it's a bad idea to leave an entire class list of birthdays lying around, and while just stripping off the year doesn't completely protect them from theft, it would be better that the two alternatives of teachers whining about why they can't do their fun birthday activity anymore or having a teacher post everybody's full birthday in some public forum.
