I've come across several instances where a number of records needed to be updated and either it was needed immediately or it was not a field available for data import/refresh.  In this case you are stuck manually opening each individual record and editing a piece of information, saving and repeating.  Not an issue for 10 or 20 records, but if you have to do a 100 it becomes a time consuming task.  Being able edit a piece of data from within a skylist (without leaving the list) would be a tremendous time saver.
