All searching throughout the system should be the same.   In some contexts, I can enter "smith j" and get all last names "smith" with a first name starting with j.   In other contexts, it'd return no results. [cuz it must be looking for last name and there's noone with a last name starting with 'smith j".

Also, We need to be able to choose > 1 field to search on.

e.g. I should be able, *in one action*, to look for a "smith" with a first name beginning with "j"  .

Right now, [in most contexts], I need to enter "smith", then scroll through [sometimes PAGES of]  data to find the one I want.

Very annoying and time consuming.
