Constituents try to take the easy way out by checking this option instead of going through and setting the privacy settings for all constituencies. They don't realize that they are preventing teachers and staff from accessing this important information. We need a way to eliminate this option so they must properly setup their privacy settings.
Marking this box and the impact it has is too invasive. It doesn't just affect the directory when a student marks this. Teachers, Advisors, and Coaches cannot get to important information from their Rosters when a student marks this. We want to allow students (and others) to set some privacy settings and it appears the only way to disable this specific setting is to remove access to all settings for the whole school (All School role).
We need to prevent students from accessing this!
Unless I am misunderstanding either your question or this knowledgebase article, you do have that ability. What we don't have the ability to do is turn it off for only one role and not others.
