This would make it possible to see where a class meets (not just when) when you subscribe to your or someone else's schedule in a calendar tool such as Google Calendar.  Using the webcal feed in tools like Google Calendar is a good way to aggregate the view of multiple teachers' or students' schedules, which is not something easily done otherwise without looking up each individual in the Directory.
