Show 'Previous' Assignment is too Simple

If I'm in, say, my 3rd term and want to look at an assignment from yesterday, I have to click 'previous'.  Well, that gives me ALL assignments from the beginning of the year.  This could result in a LOT of "Show more" clicks.   Extremely inconvenient.   Put in a 'Previous this term' button or restrict the view to this term in general and special-case the time when I want to see ALL the assignments

    I have several teachers that have voiced frustration of having to wade through all of the old assignments that are completely moot with the new semester. The "previous" option should only show the current semester, like the gradebook. Or have another option off to the side that is "current semester" and "one month". The range option doesn't currently do this well. You have to type dates every time you enter the window in a new class period.
