Customize the recurring event to days I select

It would be helpful to add an event to the calendar and choose the dates to have it appear versus only the options given.  For example, I can choose the first Wednesday or 10th day of every month.  Why not have a calendar option that allows me to select the dates?  Time saver!  Otherwise is my only option to input from a excel spreadsheet?
