Ability to create a custom role and have the ability to choose from more than one role

I need to give a group of people read access to schedules, report cards and transcripts.  With the current system, If a group needs to be able to see a student's schedule, their grades/report cards/and transcripts, I need to clone the schedule manager role for schedules and the  grading manager role for report cards and transcripts.  It would be so much cleaner and more streamlined to add tasks from multiple roles to a custom role.
