Login page says 'Username or Email'. Can we change this please?

This was added in August 2019, and can't be edited. It is horribly confusing to our users that aren't using their email address AS their username, and they're ending up locked out/ having to reset their passwords as a result. PLEASE let us change this text.

I changed mine as soon as the update was announced and it took about 30 mins for the change to appear.  Thank you for implementing this!

It does fall behind some caching delay. I would expect you would see it within the hour if not in < 10 minutes.

Thank you, Janet.  I changed it in Core and,  like Victor, haven't seen it live yet but am hopeful.  Thanks again for the response.

I just changed mine to say username only and after clicking save, I am not seeing any difference when looking through an incognito window. May just have to wait a little? Either way, this is an awesome idea and I am glad to see this implemented. I had a few dozen parents calling in this year already because they were trying their email.

Sorry for the delayed update - this was released on November 13th. You can configure the label under Core > Security > Authentication Rules in the field "Enter a label for the Username"

In early October word was "targeting" end of 2019 fix for this... it's now mid-November... can we please get confirmation that this will be corrected this calendar year?

Glad to hear this will be implemented soon. This is also causing confusion for parents at our school. I tried to address it by posting a Sign In Message to all parents (Core > Communication > Sign in messages) that says, "Thanks for signing in! Please be sure to use your username, not your email address, whenever you sign in." That helped but we still have some issues.

We are having the same confusion with the launch of the Parent Portal at our school. It really needs to be changed.

Having the option to change the verbiage would certainly save us all a little time.  Please make the change!

Here's what I've been writing to new users (parents) who are frustrated:

I am aware that the login box now has verbiage indicating that you may use an email address to log in but, unfortunately, the vendor inadvertently made that change and should not have.  Please use only the userID shown above to log in to the website.  I apologize for the frustration you’re feeling and I certainly share it… we are working with the vendor to correct the error.

Unbelievable that our school name is in the URL and our logo is on the login page and yet we cannot edit the verbiage or make both username and email address work for the login.  If it truly can't be changed (due to some technical reason that I cannot fathom) then it  should just say "username" and those that use their email address AS their username are not affected.  But given the current wording, those of us who have a username that isn't  an email address have to deal with, understandably, confused users.
