Merged users should always have an enabled login, if one of the two accounts are already enabled.

When merging users, if the old (one to keep) account has a Disabled login, the resulting merged account's login is also Disabled.

We would like to have the final merged account have an enabled login if one of the two profiles we are merging is already enabled.

This happens most frequently when candidates re-apply after having left the school. The old account has been previously marked as Disabled login. But when the parent creates a new account and we merge it, they wonder why they cannot log in anymore- since they just created the account and could log in then.

I would love to see the ability to choose which username/login with a check box. We have alums, most of whom have disabled logins and legacy accounts, that lose their newly created blackbaud ID when we merge the record because we have no way to choose the new login information.

Yes, please. It's not just with withdrawn students, either, but with those who have inquired in the past and not logged in to the account we set up for more than a year. I've already had to re-enable accounts, and it's not like I can just go through and re-enable them as they apply, because if they don't log in the same day I re-enable it, the system locks them out again, so either way, I have to wait for them to make contact, or else spend all my time reaching out to people who won't have a clue what I'm talking about.

If the newer credentials could also be maintained, that would be great. It allows for better interactions with parent of candidates during the admission process.
