Potential Duplicate more detailed errors

I am constantly running up against Merge Duplicates telling me that I cannot merge the accounts without further action. Many times I have to contact support because I have absolutely no idea what that means. If it's a shared address issue, duplicate application form it would be very helpful for the error to be more detailed about what the issue or even present me with options to allow the merge to go through.

    We really need a major overhaul of Potential Duplicate Users (PDU). It should be as easy and as functional as Raiser's Edge Merge Records has become. As soon as the count gets above 20, it becomes really hard to manage.

    • Export dupes list, with both names, User IDs, and direct links to records

    • Use name matching for multiple matches

    • Let us fine-tune merge algorithm settings

    • Create an AI to look for dupes

    • Record list should scroll independently of the match window

    • Export entire records, with all fields and values, right in this function

      • Without having to create an advanced list

    • Swap record to keep and record to delete

    • Merge entire records, not just certain fields

    • Merge records not found in PDU

    Hi Yitzy - just a heads up at two things to always look at.

    The records must have the same role (candidate/candidate, student/student) to be merged. Also, if there is the same shared adress / phone number on both they won't merge until its removed from one record.
