Add "Active/Inactive Status" to columns available in BBID authentication lists.

We're sending BBID invites to parents whose accounts are inactive, because there is no easy way to tell the current status of their accounts. The parents can't log in, and we're doing a lot of extra work that could have been avoided by re-activating those parents first.

This week, the Core team added the "Hide disabled" filter to the Unregistered and Awaiting response tabs on the Blackbaud ID authentication page. The team also added the Disabled column to the lists to make it easier to identify account statuses as you review users and take individual and bulk actions. This summer, we will also make some updates to the Login information tile so that users will no longer be connected to BBID from the user's profile without a Disabled status warning. More details will be made available when that specific feature is released.

Since the title of this idea has been resolved, I will mark this idea as implemented. Watch the release notes in the Blackbaud Community for an announcement of additional changes to the Login information tile on the User's access tab in Core!

Hi Petra! Thanks so much for your feedback. My team is now considering changes to the access tab. I'm going to separate that part of your feedback from the columns in the BBID authentication lists and create a new idea for that on your behalf.

    Hello Jessica,

We've been inviting people on a one-off basis directly from their records, but we ran into issues with parent accounts being disabled but it not being noticed before the invite was sent. We're about to start the en masse invitations today. In preparation, I've been reviewing the users on the Unregistered tab, but didn't see any warnings about inactive records.

I wasn't aware that they were entirely removed from the process. Today I found a parent with a disabled record without a BBID, and they are not appearing in the Unregistered list at all. Something to be aware of, that there may be parents out there who are not getting invited.

    Hi there!

On the Unregistered tab, we don't allow users to be Connected/Invited to Blackbaud ID when the account is inactive or disabled (see screenshot below), and those users are even hidden from the list by default. The Warnings column and the See Warning icon should also alert you when an account is inactive/disabled. Have your inactive parents been Awaiting Response for a long time? Are you re-inviting from there? I'm curious to hear more about your process since the requested Idea does exist on the Unregistered tab. Please let me know so we can close any gaps. We don't want your parents (or you!) having such a cumbersome process in the Blackbaud ID conversion! Thanks!
