Please add the ability to filter a user list by Preferred Name. It can be searched in People finder, so please add it as a filter option in the user list.
In the User/Student/Candidate lists today, if you include Preferred name as a column in the list, then you can type part or all of that name in the search bar. Once you click search, then only users with matching characters display in the list. Is this the function you're hoping to have, or is there another another use case for having a dedicated filter? Please let me know; thanks!

That feels like an extra step, but I think I am just wishing search in Education Management was more like Query in Raiser's Edge!
