Can you please add a Days Missed under the students Attendance tab? When we record absences, the system records the total number of periods absent, but the parents want to know how many days their children are absent. When chosing Record Method of Per Period, if a student is absent 1 day, it appears as though the student has missed 7 days, because we have 7 class periods a day. If we select the Record Method of Daily and chose the 1st period of the day to record attendence, it accuratley shows 1 day absent. It would be helpful if the system could also capture Half Days. However, if we have a student that will miss the 2nd half of the day, they don't show any absences because they were present during the marking period (1st period). Parents want to know how many days their children have missed, not the number of school periods missed. I was recently on a chat support, and the representative notified me that parents much calculate number of absences divided nubmer of classes in a day = # of days missed.. This is too much work for our parents. It should be easily obtained by looking at their student's record.
