Pushpages are so close to being a very useful school newsletter tool, but the functionality desperately needs an update.
The layouts and functionality are clunky and are not fully responsive for viewing on different types of screens and devices.
Opening and closing each content section is clunky. They should open on a click anywhere in the section and close with a click elsewhere.
Uploading and arranging images takes way too many steps and there should be a gallery function to include groups of images.
Image padding is unpredictable and causes layout issues, it would be helpful to have image + text modules.
It's great to be able to set each individual header and link color and size individually, but it would be very helpful and a huge timesaver to have a general setting to change them all at once as well.
Pulling in other elements from the rest of the portal should be simpler.
Images uploaded to class bulletin boards should be available.
Items from the Resource Boards should be available.
There should be a calendar module to automatically list upcoming events.
There should be a way to add additional recipients who do not have portal accounts, even if its just a box to paste additional emails in (the way it is allowed for test sends).
I hope that pushpage can be updated for the next school year! We've just started using RaisersEdge as well as K12, and the newsletter functionality in RE is so much better - it would be amazing to see that moved over to K12!
Could not agree more! I'm still doing the layout for our teachers' newsletters because it's so easy to mess up the formatting. Even with solid templates it's way too easy to mess up the format, especially with photos. Updates please!
