I'm talking about the green confirmation notification that appears over the main menu bar and fades over a few seconds, blocking access to the menu until it is entirely gone.

When I'm done something, I want to move on to the next thing. Sure, it is very clear the [whatever I did] performed successfully, and it is "only" a few seconds, but it forces the user to pause, interrupting workflow. And "a few seconds" over time adds up.

Maybe make the notification just a visual reminder, and allow users to click on the items behind the green?
