Block Parents from Deleting Contact Information

Right now, there is only the ability to set parent profile access to "No, View, or Edit." We have had parents delete their addresses or other contact information, and then it is not available when administrators or others who need it. It would be great if parents could add new addresses if they have an address change, but not delete an existing address.

    We want parents to be able to EDIT their address/phones, but not DELETE them. Please add an option that lets us remove the delete button and keep the edit pencil. We have BB synced with other systems so when a parent deletes their contact info after work hours, those other systems sync overnight. When I get back to work in the morning and re-add the info into BB, it won't update the other systems until the overnight sync. How this effects us in real life: last night a parent removed their shared address and phone number and this morning students are leaving for overnight field trips. Now I need to manually add back their contact information to BB, Magnus Health and any other emergency system.

    Hi Meredith,

    It's already possible to restrict them from doing this.

    If you go to CORE>Security>Profile Access> View/edit profile fields> Select Parent

    And make the changes there. You will want to do the same with the "Student" role.
