Profile Update forms can be published to parents in Core, Academics, Enrollment Management, etc. These forms are useful at the start of each academic year for having parents verify student names, addresses, telephones, and we would also like them to confirm that we have the correct Race and "Is Hispanic?" yes/no setting. Race can be added as a field, but "Is Hispanic?" yes/no is not one of the fields that can be added. Therefore, parents have no way of designating this on the profile form. There was an old Ethnicity field, but Blackbaud user guides now instruct users that Ethnicity in an older field, and they advocate using Race instead, so we have switched over to Race which allows users to select more than one race which is helpful. However, the Hispanic ethnicity part of things is now unable to be updated.
