At the moment, Blackbaud automatically emails the family if a student's assignment is missing. This can be helpful, but it also creates a lot of panic for students and families. This should be an optional feature that teachers can turn on and off, and should not be an automatic thing that cannot be changed. There are many reasons an assignment is late, and teachers are doing a lot of fancy dancing to get things marked off as collected immediately. This kind of turn around and bookkeeping isn't realistic.
