Calculating late work can be such a pain. Having the system, based on the due date, calculate the days late and possibly even calculate the points to be dedicated due to the late would be so helpful. This would shave off so much time in grading, and also allow the students to see real time consequences for not doing their work on time. It already has the checkbox so would not need to be a mandatory thing for teachers who do not want to calculate late work, but would be so helpful for those of us that would like to make this part of the teaching day easier and more accessible.
