Remove "Updated" banner in Activity Stream content

Can you please advise if it is possible to update the setting requirements to have the option to not show the blue "updated banner" that appears in a message once it has been published?

    AGREE!! The nature of web publishing is that it's fast, which is prone to errors, but it's easy to edit in an instant...except then the story is flagged as "updated." Perhaps the "updated" banner could be optional, so if you're really changing content, you can show it, but if you're just fixing a spelling error or wordsmithing, you can leave it off.
