Parents of past students unable to view child tab

I would like an enhancement for the role of parent of past student to have the child tab in their navigation. Currently some parents of past students still use the backend site, but rather than going through the directory to view their child's information, they should be able to have easy access.

    This would help especially for parents that still have another child at the school.
