We have a few teachers using Google Classroom app as a pilot to see if it will be something the school uses and wanted to know if there is anything on the road map for a integration with Google Classroom
This is a critical need. BlackBaud's Sales team seriously oversold the integration with Google, telling us we could continue using Google Classroom as we have been and the grades could be dumped into the BlackBaud gradebook (I have the recorded webinar where they said this). That doesn't appear to be true, you have to use the lame in comparison Google Assignments not Google Classroom. Our last SIS Rediker could do this, if I were BlackBaud I would be sorely embarrassed by this and make space in the roadmap for it with a quickness. Some product manager probably keeps deprioritizing it because Classroom technically "competes" with BlackBaud's own LMS but that's short sighted, please implement this promptly.
I try to get buy in from teachers all the time to use onCampus more but so many prefer Classroom...with this type of competition, Blackbaud needs to up their game and get onCampus on track to eliminate the move to Classroom by many schools for their LMS...
Would really love to see a "real life" working solution instead of half-baked concepts. Simply put if a teacher posts an assignment in Google Classroom there should be a sync to Blackbaud WITHOUT using Google Assignment in the LMS. Truth be told teacher MUCH prefer Google Classroom and many of us are simply abandoning the LMS and seeking a workaround to make Google Classroom work. If this pandemic has taught us anything it is that pivoting to simplifying the teacher's day-to-day is a "must". What is the roadmap for a real solution in Blackbaud? Is there one?
This would be a game changer for my whole school. Everyone, including specialists, use GC, so being able to integrate the grade book at the very least would be HUGE!
Yes! Many of our teachers use Google Classroom while teaching remotely, as it is the best way to distribute a Doc to your roster and give everyone their own copy. Currently the teachers put the link to the Classroom assignment in their class Assignment, but it's harder for the students to navigate the two systems. It would be so helpful to have a full integration here.
No movement on this in several years, but I believe it's more important than ever to get the Google Classroom integration immediately. The primary integration being the automation of grade entry from Classroom to Whipple Hill.
This is an ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE. I know Google has been a bit stingy with their Classroom API as of yet, but anything that can be worked in needs to be a high priority.
Gor a Google Apps School that uses Google Clasroom, this would be a huge time save, Teachers would write the assignment once and it would write in onCampus automatically. Right now, its double entry for the same information. Teacher could then just grade onCampus assignment.
A few of our teachers have asked about this and I said I would check on it. I think it would be something to pursue, especially as they use both onProducts and Google Classroom.
Sad to see this thread is active since 2015 with no resolve.

"BlackBaud's Sales team seriously oversold the integration with Google"
"Syncing grades from Google Classroom into Blackbaud is the missing piece for us!"
Where are we on this, BB dev? We're all looking at massive renewal hikes and this is still left untouched.
Syncing grades from Google Classroom into Blackbaud is the missing piece for us!
Integrate with Google Classroom please!
@Jay Sansing: The BB Sales team were claiming this as far back as 2018, in person at a roadshow event in San Francisco.

It's time for this, especially since the sales team said this already worked (via OneRoster) 3 years ago at a roadshow in San Francisco.

Our school would be very interested in this.

Agreed. Very interested in Google Classroom integration - or more robust features in onCampus that elminate the need for Google Classroom
