Manage settings for deceased community members in one place
I would like to have a single place to go in User Management that easily allows me to hide a deceased user in all areas of the software. From a data management standpoint, it's easier to have one place to go to be able to easily mark someone deceased, but from the human community standpoint, it is difficult from an emotional perspective to have to follow multiple steps to hide a member of the community who has recently passed away (or, worse, to find that you've missed a setting.)
Yes! For such a sensitive issue, the procedure is cumbersome and poorly documented.
The documentation does not mention that the school must ensure the option for users to remove themselves from the directories is not selected before beginning the process. It also inacurately refers to the address channel in step 8 when it means the phone channel.
Ideally, checking the "deceased" box would remove the user from all lists and directories automatically.
