Option to Hide Deceased Users from displaying on Contact Card

I would like to be able to hide deceased parents from the contact card without removing them from the system. Currently, deceased parents are hidden from the directory but will show up on the contact card.

I would like to keep these Parent records in the system but feel this isn't information other Parents or Students need to know about their classmates.

Another option could allow a deceased label to display for any deceased relatives the user has.

Does this also include deceased Grandparents? We had submitted a request to make sure they didn't populate on the grandparent profile update form if they are deceased. Thanks in  advance for any additional information you may have.

Would this also prevent the user from being visible in the directory?

    Thanks!

While you are implementing this, you should have a setting to exclude deceased users from lists and reports unless there is a specific criteria overriding it.

This is very important to us, and furthermore we would also like to see more obvious formatting for those who can see the deceased parent information o they quickly know that the contact is deceased (i.e. different colour of text)

Thanks for the extra details, Linda! Will pass this along.

the current solution is to either a) remove the relationship of the deceased parent from the student/future alumn or b) keep the relationship and make it look as if the school is insensitive to the loss.  It's critical to keep the relationship so that legacy family trees are maintained. (i.e., the deceased parent is a former alumn and child of a founding family of the school)
