There is a filter for "Job Title" in the Directory. But when you click "Additional Information" on the left, the Job Title does not display for any individual.
We would like to be able to display the Job Title in the search results (especially for a faculty/staff directory) so that users can see the employees' job titles at a glance.
Directories > Faculty/Staff
On the right, select any job title, ex: Accounting Specialist.
Julia Thimons' name displays.
Click "Additional Information".
Her job title does not display.
Additional Information should also display:
- Job Title
Thank you Angela & BB!
I am away from the office from July 20 to August 17 inclusive.
I will have very limited access to email, but will respond to your message
upon my return.

We added job title in faculty/staff directories this week in both the grid and list displays.
It would also be great if our front-facing school website could pull job titles from MySchoolApp for our Faculty and Staff Directory page and any areas where we use an Affinity content type to show a department's faculty or staff on a different website page. Name and email is nice but people want to see the titles too.
Also adding Education would be helpful for us. Is there a reason all of the Publish Profile Access fields aren't available on the directory? Is there a way Blackbaud could denote which fields are directory-specific?
This would be very helpful for us. For a school our size (700+ faculty/staff), this is greatly needed.
This would be so helpful when looking up information for a parent - and extra helpful for new faculty/staff. One stop shop :)
We're getting requests for this regularly, and the growing sentiment is that there are tools in Blackbaud Education products that are very inefficient and not user-friendly. Addressing issues like this, that have clear customer support and were requested over four years ago, would go a long way in helping our school communities continue to think highly of the products.
Agreed, it's sad that our public website has far more functionality than this portal directory years later
Our parents and faculty have been asking (and waiting) for this for years. Why not let the platform manager determine which published fields to include in the initial search results and in the "additional information." Also, what is the value of "show additional information" and "contact card"? One or the other seems like it would do.
This will be very useful to many!!! Are we there yet
Job title is available on the onMessage pages, so why wouldn't it be available on the back end? Please add this in asap!
I also received a call from a parent. There are 91 votes on here, this should be fixed?
Absolutely, and definitely needs to be printed if parent wants to print from this location. Ridiculous that the title shows on the public website but not behind the password.
Our school has been searching settings options to find a way to display Job Title in the internal Faculty/Staff Directory, only to find out that it's not possible to do so! We, too, would like to see this feature made available, as it seems so simple and intuitive to make that an option.
Shouldn't the internal directory be more functional and useful than the external directory? C'mon BB
I would also like to have Job Title to show in the Directory function. That seems so obvious; why has this not been addressed?
Yes this would be very helpful for our parents as well. It seems to be an fix for BB. But I see comments about this since 2015 so not sure why still not addressed.
This was created in 2015 and still nothing? What is the problem here BB? Do you really not care about what your users want? Please explain why a job title would appear on the front end, but not behind the login?
I would also like the job title to appear in the 'print' feature for people who download the directory and paste to their wall.
