We have Admission Staff members that we would like to be able to see, but not edit contracts.  This allows them to keep track easily of a student's enrollment status from inside the record.  I do realize that we can enable them to see the contract worklists separately, which I have done, but for ease of training, and ability to get to all the information he needs in one spot, it would make life easier to give view permissions without access to editing.  This applies to many other things as well that I've found, but I can't remember what they are off the top of my head.
