Make Parent 2 fields able to be made mandatory if/when "relationship to candidate" dropdown is completed

Because we are exporting the data to another database, it is mandatory for us to have the same fields populated in Parent 1 and Parent 2 when Parent 2 exists. This is impossible to control in the current setup. It is understandable that the fields would be locked as "not mandatory" as a starting point but it would be beneficial to have an option to "mimic" the rules for Parent 1 if/when the dropdown option for "relationship to applicant" is completed for Parent 2.

We would like to have a feature so that the second parent is not it is not required but once a name has been entered then the other fields would be "turned on" and you could make specific fields required just like Parent 1

We have many applications that come in with missing info for Parent 2 - we need the option to make these fields mandatory.

I think that making a yes-no toggle or a drop down would allow for this fields to become mandatory once "yes there is a second parent" is chosen. If "no, there isn't a second parent" is chosen, then the fields could be left blank without an issue. I think this would keep someone from feeling uncomfortable if they are a single parent while still allowing us to get the necessary information if there is a second parent or guardian in the picture. Thanks for putting up this suggestion, I think it's a great idea!

I understand the need for this, however, if there is no other parent (IVF, surrogate, or adoption by a single parent), it could be taken wrongly by that parent. We currently have four families at our school where a parent decided to have a child without having a partner.
