If a candidate is waitlisted or rejected, the parent sees "let us know your decision" even if all they need to do at this time is acknowledge. The text is misleading. Why is it asking for a decision when they have none to make? Also, the "thank you for submitting your decision" text is likewise misleading. This is particularly important as this is a sensitive time for the parents. (being told their child is not accepted).
I have found away to remove the decision box! Unpublish the Candidate Decision type for Acknowledged. I will communicate the Denied decision through the comment section in a letter form. I have chosen not to include a download letter. It looks much better.
I agree! I think this feature could definitely use some enhancements to take into consideration the sensitive nature of Denials and Wait pool decisions. In the meantime (after talking with Paul Z. I was thinking about including the mail merge letter along with including a link for denials/wait pool that directs to a landing page with next steps for parents. We would have have the ability to brand our school and have more flexibility with the communication. As a side note I think schools should be able to edit the green banner for accepts to include school logo, colors etc...branding for our school.
Could not agree more that this needs to be customizable. We want to be able to track that our applicant families saw the decision, but the wording is so insensitive when it comes to Denied or Waitlisted/Deferred candidates.
