If we are manually looking for a block to schedule a class, comparing the students' schedules who requested the class (under master schedule/ students/ filter student course request) works nicely for semester classes only, but if we are considering the placement of a year long class, this view only shows us frees/ conflicts for the given semester. (This is the same issue when for looking at a group of students to see who might be able to switch a section-- we can only see 1 semester but we cannot see how it would affect the 2nd semester) Maybe provide an option to see both semesters simultaneously for a student. If there is too much writing in the blocks, include course codes only.
