Landing Page / Starting Page for Parent of Candidate
It would be helpful for our admissions team to be able to choose where a Parent of Candidate lands when they sign into the site.
We would like our Parents of Candidates to land directly on their Child's (candidate's) Admissions Progress Page.
It is disappointing to hear as all parents I talk to can't figure out
how to find their child and their checklist which is all they want to
find. Honestly, they don't care about the news of a late start or the
news of sports practiced but they do want to know where their child is
in the admissions process.
Finding the original apply link is not easy.
THANK YOU!!!!!

Hi All, we have plans to default people who are in the parent of candidate role to land directly on their child's admissions progress page. If they happen to have 2 children going through the admissions process we'll direct them to the first child on the list. If they are BOTH a parent and parent of candidate we'll respect the parent settings in Core. We are targeting the September release.
Yes!
This is a great idea! I always have to explain (in person or email) where to find their application checklist page.
I agree - this is something that we really want to be able to do. Our candidate families don't need to see the school's "News" when they visit their account - it has nothing to do with them.
And once those candidates have been accepted, please allow us to select "Decision" tab as the landing page.
Ditto. It's a crucial Role and the site should be able to do this. Make it a priority, since we all depend on making great experiences for applicants and their parents! Hard to believe this was not created from the onset.
I hope to see this on the road map soon... it can help the user experience. Until then, we will need to post a news item informing Candidates where to look.
PLEASE!!!
Agree with this completely!
Please, please do this! This would alleviate a lot of confusion!
