Duplicate users when applying

I would like an enhancement for those applying online that would recognize the person's info being entered prior to creating the new account asking "Is this you?" or something along those lines and showing their current account info. This way the applicant would not be duplicating their information.

    This sounds good, but I would want to protect a current user's information from being shared/viewed with a new user, in case the suggested "Is this you?" is NOT who is applying. Perhaps only revealing partial addresses or phone numbers or what have you.
