It is important that the admissions committee is unaware of who is applying for financial aid. It can create implicit bias. However, it is not possible to separate this information from the application while still keeping the application visible to the committee members. I therefore have to just not make the application visible, but then they are unaware of other information about the family, school history of the student, etc.
