While this is an old request from 2015, it's still relevant and more important than ever. We've had some resistance to teachers using Official Notes, in part because they can't visualize what message is being sent to a parent. The current view (in 2023) limits them only to a blank box for Author Comments when composing a note. We want templates and types (similar to Enrollment Management) so that teachers can see and edit templated communications.

Considering there is currently no way to customize the posting (to a subset of students) of Report Cards that could contain an nicely format Official Notes, the ability to format notes seems to be a must.

Yes please! Blackbaud is really behind other systems in this. It negatively impacts communications.

Would like to be able to choose the font type in communication templates.

We recently completed a survey of incoming parents and one commented that the official notes that come through as emails look too "robotic".  The format needs to look cleaner and more like an email, yet maintaining the personalization.

YES, PLEASE!  Being able to personalize communication templates to our school and our audience is very important to us.  The availability of this type of functionality in WH will be important for us to know as we revisit our database products this Fall to determine how well they are meeting our needs.
