There are many times candidates can not complete the application process in the prescribed timeframe of admissions. They are not inactivated in the system bc we would like to keep them active to in case Admissions needs to see more candidates and/or they can finally complete the process and we can accommodate them. Have the "On Hold" status would be a visual reminder that there are still candidate with logical reason they are not inactive and an easy way to round them up when at the end of the summer we definitively close out and inactive all "On Hold" and waitlisted application with an email.
